Post Inside Magnus Motorsports
This past weekend Steve and I trailered up his Evo X to Magnus Motorsports so Marco could begin the process of transforming it into a One Lap road racer. We had a great time and learned a lot about the inner workings of Magnus Motorsports, the people, and Marco himself. We took lots of pictures and set in motion a build plan that is going to be pretty epic.

If you've been following along you know we have a new set of Dunlops ready, and FP HTA EVO X Green turbo on its way, and just recently a killer set of KW Clubsports. Combine that with Magnus Motorsports extensive EVO X catalog (FMIC, IC Pipes, downpipe..etc) and hitting our goal of 385whp should be pretty easy.

You can read all about it and check out the photo's here on our website. http://onelap.rochesterdsm.org/2011/02/ ... torsports/

What? No mention on the page of 2001 when they come out with teh 1G-in-a-2G workaround for crankwalk? How fast we forget the details. :D

There is a ton of stuff that either he or I forgot when putting that list together. Another good one is the mechanical fuel pump that runs off the custom CNC'd cam gear that flows enough fuel for 2000+hp.

Sean and I made a run up there again on Monday. Who the hell knew that all of Canada shut down for "family day"? More people get out of work than our Presidents Day holiday. Grocery stores were closed and everything.

At any rate, since everything was closed, we had Marco start pulling our parts off the shelves and allowed us to answer questions about them. I think it will take me a while to finish filtering out the profanity from most of the videos, but here is what I put together for the Clutch Master Cylinder adapter...

I was beginning to think they were all manufacturing and not so much for shop builds. That was until they just did all of the work on the car in a day. I had the early email from Marco, saying they were starting. By the time nightfall came around he was getting all itchy because I hadn't called and they were almost done.

In my head it was a relatively straight forward build up, but it seems pretty quick to have all of that done in a day.

Tidy things up and have some espresso.
